The time has come for CNNMoney’s 2013 edition of their widely popular Best Places to Live list and the results are more finely tuned than ever. The list illustrates small towns that not only have a strong sense of community and quality of life, but also have significant job growth and a prosperous school system. With populations ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 people, town highlights include anything from new AAA baseball stadiums to 400 acres of parks to even having Wi-Fi on school buses.
Onboard Informatics has closely collaborated with CNNMoney to produce their Best Places list since our inception in 2001. Annually, Onboard provides detailed data on parameters such as affordability, safety, school quality, diversity, and leisurely activities. Onboard then meticulously sifts through and compiles the data into a list and hands it off to CNNMoney where they do further examination such as visiting the top towns for a more thorough feel. The list, which is one of CNNMoney’s most popular annual features, provides great content for home buyers and town inhabitants alike.
CNNMoney also uses the detailed information provided by Onboard to derive sub-lists on topics such as the Least Crowded Towns, Best Big-City Neighborhoods, and even the Best Home Deals in the Top 10 Towns. They even used rich multimedia such as the video above to fully bring the content to life. Similar valuable videos they have produced include a video detailing the top ranking town and a video on the cost of living in said town.
