Business Development Director

Onboard Informatics powers the real estate technology community through tools that deliver in-depth, accurate, and comprehensive US property and community data.   

We are looking for someone who talks tech and knows real estate to advance our company’s growth.  Someone who will go beyond cold calling to understand the objectives of RE Tech company leaders and work with them to ensure those objectives are met.   If you are highly motivated, understand the industry, and want to build not only sales, but relationships on behalf of an established technology company – this might be the perfect position for you.

What you’ll do: 

  •  Identify opportunities to partner with vendors, solutions providers, and other technology companies who use property and community data in their applications and solutions

  • Develop and organize new business development initiatives

  • Participate in company sales goals and assessments, be an active participant and contributor to our Sales / Product / Marketing team

  • Provide feedback from conversations with industry leaders and experts to the internal team that will influence the product road map and other key business decisions

  •  Moving prospects through the sales process to close, including outlining key objectives, creating proposals, overseeing contract negotiations and closing deals

  • Work with prospects and clients to understand their goals and create contracts that match their strategic direction and grow with them over time

  •  Consistently contribute to the revenue team

  • Manage, track and report all data and activities through Salesforce

  • Represent Onboard in trade shows, conferences and other events


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field

  •  7-10 years of experience successfully leading a sales initiative or project in a quota-driven sales environment

  • Combination of real estate and technology sales experience

  • Familiarity with Salesforce a plus

  •  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable with selling data and data-driven solutions to a technically sophisticated audience

  • Self-starter and highly motivated.  This position does not have to be on-site, but should feel like you are part of the larger Onboard team

  • Comfortable in and motivated by a start-up culture and the opportunities to prove yourself and grow with the team

  • Understand the real estate technology landscape and have existing relationships

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes participation in company commission plans and/or bonus pool, equity plan, excellent health, dental, vision, 401(k) plans.
