Taking a deeper look at TV apartments

If you watch a lot of TV, there's one thing that has probably bothered you at one point or another. The characters are poor and stuck working low-paying jobs. They seem to work only a couple of hours a week and spend their free time doing nothing of importance. Yet they all live in huge, luxurious apartments. What gives? It's something that drives me crazy every time I turn on a new sitcom.

Adding fuel to the fire, Gothamist recently published an article revealing the floor plans of these fictional apartments. The worst part? They're all even bigger and nicer than I imagined them to be. Check it out for yourself. One thing is for sure though. Hollywood writers may know a thing or two about comedy and drama (it's questionable), but they're completely clueless when it comes to real estate.
