The Listings Web Service search plug-in enables National and Regional Real Estate Brokerages, Web Developers and Application Developers to display Internet Data Exchange (IDX) for sale property listings through a single interface saving time, money and resources. This service is designed to allow integration of IDX search capabilities into MLS board approved agent and broker websites quickly and efficiently with consistent search across markets, allowing more time to focus on branding and user experience.

Access to listings through our web service offers the freedom and flexibility to build out, customize, and seamlessly integrate all Onboard’s community data offerings. Our local content is the most accurate on the market undergoing rigorous control processes to cleanse and normalize the data in order to ensure it is consistent, accurate, and searchable.

Note: In order to participate in our listings offerings, websites must have MLS approval and follow all MLS compliance rules required to access, use and display the respective MLS content.

    • How It Works

    The Onboard Listings Web Service functions in a similar manner to most common IDX products with several key differentiators. Like most solutions, Onboard’s service is fully hosted and maintained by Onboard on secure servers owned and operated by the company. We manage, update and maintain the IDX data at all times – it is never delivered to any third party. Furthermore, any member website display MUST be approved by MLS’s that require such review PRIOR to the utilization of IDX on any such website.

    One of the primary benefits and differentiators of Onboard’s Listings Web Service is the search submission process where we return the real-time results to a member’s website in eXtensible Markup Language (XML) instead of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). This enables the website developer to apply an MLS-approved look and feel to the search results instead of being forced into using a less-flexible and poorly-branded template.
