Marc Siden is the Co-founder and CEO of Onboard Informatics, providing leadership, vision and focus to the entire company. He saw a need for a company that transformed traditional local information on home sales, communities, schools, and neighborhoods into powerful online tools for real estate professionals, and together with his partner, Jon Bednarsh, he brought that vision to reality. Today, Onboard is a leader in data, content, and web-based research tools for the real estate community.
Marc brings over 20 years of diverse technology, information services and finance experience to the culture of Onboard. Marc began his career on Wall Street where he spent eight years, before creating New Beginnings Venture Group, a venture capital firm. While at New Beginnings, he invested in a company called Monsterdaata.com that was pioneering the provision of online data and technology solutions to MLS associations and brokers. His excitement for the industry led him to roll up his sleeves and join Monsterdaata.com full time as the Executive Vice President in charge of corporate development and strategy, as well as sales and marketing. While the concept was strong, the dotcom bust and 9/11 attacks struck MonsterDaata hard. Lessons learned and ideas in hand, Marc went on to co-found Onboard.
Marc personifies both the industry and the passion of New York and of Onboard. Marc hasn’t forgotten where he came from: he mentors and coaches ice hockey in Harlem and serves on the advisory board of TORCH, an organization that provides business opportunities and internships to inner city high school students. Marc continues to live in New York with his beautiful family and has located the Onboard headquarters in an area near and dear to him: Wall Street.
